A Walk Through Deb's Life

By debsthoughts

Gently Leaning

She once stood tall
Her color was red
Her roof held strong
To protect what was within

Now she leans
Tipping toward north
Nothing to keep safe
Empty within

Memories fade
Of animals born
And summertime squeals
From hayloft within

One day soon
Nothing but rubble
Old faded barn wood
Who will remember?

_______________
Blipped before: Does it look worse or is it just my frame of mind? Maybe she'll be around for a long while yet.
