A fabulous day spent at New Lanark Mill with Sal, Rich and Lucy.

I had never previously heard of Robert Owen and his rather radical (for the time) social experiments and so found myself completely fascinated by the whole experience. Compared to similar attractions (including most recently the rather dreadful Eden Project) I found the Mill to be not at all tacky and not at all trying to rob you of money the entire time. Factor in the beautiful surroundings of the Falls of Clyde and I would thoroughly recommend a day trip there.

It was Lucy's 10th birthday today, pictured here dutifully posing for blipfoto behind their rather impressively broken (by a stray stone from a lawnmower) window. Try it large.
