staggering target

I thought the Cowgate had been closed to vehicular traffic during the hours of drunkenness; a couple of taxis evidently decided they are exempt (as they believe they are exempt from stopping in front of advanced stop lines and showing consideration to other road users) and trundled merrily along it. Still, it's not as if the world couldn't do without a few drunk people.

I can't remember exactly when it was that I lost patience with the excessively drunk but it was something to do with looking at someone's face and only seeing drunken idiocy looking back. We have brains that are capable of building complex structures, writing moving words, filming nice films, writing emotive music, taking interesting pictures and so on yet everywhere every day people deliberately reduce their minds to something which is incapable of walking in a straight line or even standing up whilst they vomit on the pavement. Depressing.
