A Plumbers Wife!

Cornfield

Holiday in Tyberton, near Hay on Wye. My Dad had given me his Leica camera just before this holiday - it was my first decent camera, and me, Dad and my brother went out virtually every evening wandering around the locality being fairly camera mad. It was probably the start of the addiction to photography in a practical sense.

This is one of a number of shots that I took on Aperture priority mode on the camera as part of my playing around - I remember doing it, because I recall a conversation with Dad - or rather a "briefing" about how to use the camera. And I remember being gobsmacked that a camera could capture an image like this - to be fair, the light WAS amazing, and the sky and colours were pretty much as they are on screen...you don't forget things like that.
