Demonstration model

This afternoon I had a meeting with my collegue shiftleaders.
Normally we pass eachother like ships in the night so one time in seven weeks we have to meet and line things up.
In the workshop I saw this complete burner.
It is constructed of old and used material and will be used at the Technical School in Delfzijl to learn about what's in a gasturbine.
At the right is the transitionpiece which will be connected to the first stage nozzlering in the powerturbine.
Because the flames pass through it has to be cooled with air coming from the compressor.
The cooling-air (300 deg. Centigrade) flows through the small holes and pass through a double wall.
The rubbed thing is the liner, with special coating at the inside.
On top is the burner with connections to the piping coming from the gasskid.

Look here for the new parts prior to mount in the machine.
