Saturday 7 November 2009: Soup
It's cold and grey outside today, so an indoor blip of this warming soup I made for lunch.
There was a piece left of the pumpkin I blipped the other day, so I cooked it with an onion, some garlic and one of the chorizo peppers given to us by our friends in the Basque country. Then, since it was Saturday and the shellfish van came from Bouzigues, I added some mussels to it.
The photo is a bit grainy because I don't like using flash and even by the window the daylight wasn't very light!

It's so beautiful -- I can't stop looking at it! Haven't had breakfast yet, but this makes me want to have lunch, pronto. I love the food you make!

Yes, cold and grey here too, strong winds and intermittant showers! I love the shape of mussel shells, just not the taste of the mussels!

Lovely shapes and colours. Natural light seems warmer than flash.

Hi there. A lot of people haven't heard of Amadou and Mariam so thanks for commenting on them. I'm looking forward to seeing them again. Their albums are great too, particularly Welcome to Mali.
