Percé Rock

Absolutely perfect day weather wise. Around 20 degrees and a gorgeous sunshine. My favorite kind of weather.

I drove back from Gaspé this afternoon and, between Gaspé and Percé, I took in the neighborhood of 350 pictures. Most of them are of old weathered buildings... they fascinate me.

It was difficult to choose one, that's why I'm so late blipping that day. Even though it's a cliché, I couldn't help choosing the Rock. It so much identifies "La Gaspésie".

On the left is Bonaventure Island, a bird sanctuary.

On the right is the town of Percé, an exciting village in the summer and a dead town in the winter.

You have to realize that the hole in the rock is 15m (50ft) high.

For those who like that type of photography, you can see more from that trip here.
