Advent Blip - Day 11

Some drivers out there are as bright as one. The old fashioned type. When 11 watt meant 11 watt, not 60 watt like these things are meant to equate to. Or used to. Apparently they're not as bright as we'd been led to believe either. Or as ecologically sound.

But, I digress.

It's been an absolute pea-souper around the Central Belt today with visibility probably down to a few hundred yards at times. But for far too many drivers out there today they took that as a great opportunity to play hide and seek. It was daylight so obviously there's no need for any lights. Or for some, the token gesture of some tiny side lights that cut through the fog at about the same time as you see the white of the driver's eyes peering over the steering wheel.

And as for the big Merc driving 11 watt bulb that pulled out in front of me earlier on the roundabout without any lights on (don't these big beast have some automatic sensor to switch lights on when needed?) and forced me to a complete emergency stop in the middle of the road, whose driver never even acknowledged I was there despite at one point being around six foot off of his door with main lights, fog lights and horn blaring... YER A NUMPTY!

At least I know that the ABS works. Don't want to keep testing them that way though.

Have a P-Super weekend folks.

Proximity to Christmas indicator backup: Apart from mad drivers, the appearance of the Christmas edition of the Radio Times is always a good sign Santa's on his way.
