Dreams come true

Well, a small dream came true today. Now this may be considered sad by some, but I have always wanted to travel by Hovercraft. I even attempted to travel to France by Hover back in the Nineties, before the route was stopped, only the weather thwarted me then. Not today though. At the age of 35 I finally got to step aboard the mighty craft and hover across the water to the Isle of Wight. Journey time may only have been 10 minutes, but I don't think I stopped smiling the entire way across.

I was indulged enough to be able to stand on the esplanade and watch the craft return to Portsmouth before our friends came to pick us up for lunch, and they brought us back to the Hoverport in time to watch one come in. Much excitement!

Can I do it again please?
