Frozen lake

Bitterly cold morning - our thermometer was reading 7F when we got up this morning to be at church for 8am. Our numbers in choir were rather reduced this morning, as were the numbers in the congregation at first service. It was pretty cold in some areas of the church too, as apparently one of the boilers had gone down. So the sanctuary was warm, but the old chapel, where they usually have the second (of three) services, and Fellowship Hall, where coffee is served, were both cold. The high for the day only reached about 25, but it was a beautiful sunny day, so we bundled up this afternoon and got out for a walk at Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum. There were a few others out braving the cold, but not many. I'm now thawing out in front of the computer with a nice hot cup of tea!
