Today is definitely up there in the 'most stressful days ever' list. A combination of bad weather, snotty noses and end of holiday boredom has led to what feels like a continuous stream of tantrums and tears.

After watching what seemed like the 100th episode of Peppa Pig, the boys were evicted to the garden where I captured Louis peeping through the broken window of the Wendy house. Minutes later the boys had had as much as they could bare and were back in the warm.

Add to this a stranded husband in Newcastle and this is shaping up to be a pretty dreadful day. The forecast of 25cm of snow tomorrow has done nothing to lift my mood.

All I can do is dream of better days filled with warm sunshine and happy children and hope it gets me through.
