A time for everything

Icicles along the stream bed

After 10 days below freezing, yesterday we just sneaked above freezing, and today with more sun, we made it up to around 40 F. I'd been doing all my exercise indoors lately, either swimming, or on the treadmill, so it was great this afternoon to get out for a long walk at Sharon Woods - through the gorge, where this photo was taken, and then around the lake. This evening I was out at our Knitting ministry group at church, where there were a lot of completed projects brought in by the different ladies - many prayer shawls, helmet liners for the troops, baby hats for the maternity unit at the hospital and baby blankets for Project Linus. With the cold snowy weather people have been spending longer indoors knitting! One lady, who had a knee replacement back in the fall, and hasnt been wanting to risk her "new" knee on snow and ice, had completed five prayer shawls! But this was good, as there seem to be a lot of people in the congregation who have just had surgery, so we wrapped about half a dozen to go out this evening.
