Roll the Dice

Caroline's skating party at Manning's = awesome. I wore my sister's rollerblades and skated for the first time since Elle's 17th birthday. Rollerblading feels a lot like skiing (xcountry) to my upper thighs.
Party was a success and then mom, dad, and I went to Houston to see Miss Saigon at Theater Under the Stars with Julie. I did not remember the plot of Miss Saigon until it started, unfortunately. And then I remembered that this particular musical was the last one I saw a few years ago when I stopped using our season tickets... So hopefully the next musical will be wonderful and I won't see this one for a long time. It's just such a downer.
Dinner at Bar Annie. Blackberry Mojitos. OHMYGOSH. If I could afford to drink those every night (11$ a pop), I'd probably choose to be an alcoholic. They were not too sweet and so very tart that I sucked them down faster than any other drink I've ever had. Move over Saketini (cucumber sake/vodka, cucumber slices) - you've got steep competition.
(Julie, I'll meet you there when I'm in Houston next time.)
That was the best dinner I've had in a long, long time. My steak melted in my mouth with tiny salt grains that I felt amidst the meat. I just had dinner but I'm getting hungry all over again for that black and blue filet mignon.
