Tuesday 2 March 2010: Xmas Washout

A Christmas tree surfacing on the Water of Leith with a Coke can fairy.

Now we know that it takes approximately a month and a half for flotsam (or is it jetsam) to make it's way down to the Shore.

  1. Is that still there? Get onto the cleansing dept about that. I admit that i am a council botherer, maybe I'll do it!

  2. Jetsam has been thrown deliberately (usually in an attempt to save a sinking ship), flotsam is the stuff that floats off after the ship has sunk. Since this is unmarked it is not Lagan (the owner intends to come back for it), so I think it is pretty safe to label it Derelict, meaning the owner has abandoned it without any intent to retrieve it.

    Fun Blip

  3. Hey, haven't seen this one for ages! Where's it lurking? I'm amazed no-one's nabbed the stump.

The coke can decoration is new, though.
