Spring blooms

Those pretty purple flowers that wildly grow every year on the same corner lot have now returned to brown, scorched by the southern sun, yet on the opposing vacant lot, a gorgeous spread of new and refreshing pastel colours has sprung up. Callum and I went for a little sit in and amongst them.

The pics.

PS does anyone know the name of these spectacular flowers please?

On the medical front, Reuben has been cleared today for his 48hr admission on 12th to have his tracheostomy taken out under anaesthesia. Please God it stays out and Reuben can breathe freely and safely through his nose and mouth, whilst swimming, sand and a lighter load can become a part of our lives.

Tonight: Callum had a nap after this little session above which of course meant he didn't want to go to bed on time tonight. Instead, he played horsie sitting stradding me whilst I laid down on the sofa. The string belt on my black and white dress became the reins and off he went, bouncing away, tickling himself with laughter, except I guess the stripeyness of the b/w dress would have made me look more like a zebra than a horse. Giddy up zebra!
