Looks Good To Me

The Elephant Bed Sequel

The Elephant Bed museum exhibit was supposed to be immersed in the waters of Bellingham today, but the plan had to be changed. Apparently somebody complained to the State Department of Ecology that it would be a violation of Washington's Water Pollution Control Act, in spite of the fact that the art work was biodegradable. The announcement in The Herald, Bellingham's daily newspaper, said that the procession from the museum would take place as planned, with a surprise ending in the park on the route to the bay.

The surprise was provided by the fire department. Two opposing fire hoses quickly dissolved the sculptures as the crowd cheered.

I think it was a more spectacular ending than the original plan.
