There's a triffid in my garden

My husband dubbed this a triffid yesterday, so I decided it would be today's blip. It's a tree peony bought from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh's wonderful plant sale a few years ago. This will be the time it has flowered. I no longer remember what colour it is. (My guess is yellow)

The annual Plant Sale takes place on Sunday 16 May from 2 ? 4pm at the RBGE Nursery, Inverleith Avenue South, off Inverleith Place It is a chance to purchase from a diverse and wonderful collection of plants, as well as the cake and book stalls. £2 entry. It is not to be missed if you love plants and gardening.
