camera drop

A weird and amazing thing happened today.
The door knocked at an unearthly (7am)hour. So early Jim was there to get it. So I wasn't there to see the troupe of Jam filled ants or ask them where the hell they've been and what they've been doing this last week.
But anyway, MY LENSBABY
IT IS HERE

Jim looks very glumfaced. He suggests as it is my birthday present he should hide it. Obviously I give him the look of a moderately angry animal when faced with the removal of some food item. Say, a badger

he looks sad. Though it is not the truth, I would like you to imagine him turning slightly away from you with his hand limply against his face like a dramatic victorian lady about to swoon. In my imagination he is dressed as an impressionist painter, for some reason. 'I cannot do the washing up' he announces 'I've tried, but I simply cannot'

When I ask him what on earth he's on about,it turns out that he's worried that I will forgo all the housework I have been saving up to do with loud music while the nut is at nursery and instead spend time running amok with my new lens. And his mum is visiting. So he would like a clean house.

But I am super good and I make everything shiny sparkly, even though there is no bleach strong enough to make an avocado green bathroom white.

Then I get the Nut and I hope he'll have a nap but they let him sleep at nursery so he doesn't until 2.30.

Which is precisely when my mother and sister in law arrived. Which meant I got no lens time.

What I'm trying to say in as many words possible is this is the best photo I took today. So sorry its crap.

PS
lensbaby! Whoot!

pps why all the sudden interest in my may 9th entry?? weird.
