Swing Low

Hey Blippers! Had a funny old day today, was phoned out my bed this morning from work and told in no uncertain terms that i had to come in right away. I'm currently on annual leave so i wasn't best pleased with this but dutifully doned that suit and trundled in. I wasn't even required and was sent home shortly afterwards! I tell you!


Anyway I took this shot in the grounds of a long abandoned Mental Hospital just down the road. Birkwood Hospital consists of a Cracking building built in the 1800's i believe and loads of other 'ward' buildings all empty, decaying and very very creepy.


I've always found pics of swings like this pretty disturbing and always wanted to shoot them like this. Because of the over grown grass i couldn't really get an angle i was happy with so this will need to do. Desaturated and noise added in Photoshop. Alternative shot -here- but i couldn't really decide between the two but you can see the old castle in the background in the other one.
