X Marks the Spot

When I came across these youngsters on my way up the hill with the dogs, they were all digging energetically in the dry rocky soil. I wondered if they had a map for a buried treasure chest, but they told me they were digging a foxhole in preparation for Airsoftbattles. Our grandkids had a lot of fun collecting plastic pellets from some of the previous wars.

The drain pipes had been lying on the ground up there for at least eight years. Yesterday I found some of them had been cut into shorter pieces, and two of the pieces were sticking up out of the ground. You can see them in the blip. The buried portions are filled with rocks. I think they must be drains for the road which is planned to go through there. I'll be sad when that happens, and so will the dogs.

I wanted a blip with all the kids digging, but the boys said they'd been digging all morning and were tired.
