Day 2 - Seattle

Certainly not sleepless here - both myself and Mrs DP slept like babies last night! Up at 9am and breakfast had at a diner in the historic Pioneer Square district - bacon, scrambled eggs and hash browns. Yum.

Next headed to pier 52 to catch a ferry to Bainbridge Island. The sun came out for us and it became a perfect day weather-wise. The ferry was a great way to see the Seattle skyline. Passed some stunning properties on the island - what a wonderful place to live. Had a coffee just off main street and then ambled back to the ferry terminal for the crossing back.

The afternoon was shopping time before heading back to the hotel laden with a few shopping bags (obviously less than £100 worth if any customs officers are reading this...)

The picture was taken on the ferry - my favourite of the day - the contrast between one bike and the other was stark, although the cyclist raced off first!
