Tuesday 1 June 2010: Window vista
My brother and I (and a significant number of our friends) used to get up to all sorts of mischief out of this window when we still lived at home with mother.
Oh, the stories I could tell. (But won't, for fear she's reading.)
Bella'll never do anything at all like that of course.

Er, yeah - you can tell by that expression...
Oh dear.
~ Red

man that is an amazing, original shot.

Oh, just thinking of it makes me dizzy!
Seeing her out of the window even more!
But I (read me and my sister Missnoway) made a lot of things I wouldn´t like my children to do.

Hey, excellent photo Joe. Bella's expression is brilliant.

That is the very first street I lived in when I moved to Edinburgh in 1986. but we were in the basement.
Gosh.. that makes me sound old.
~ justsitting

I lived there in '86 - what number were you at?
~ Joe

Can't remember, soon after it turned into a guest house.. The woman who owned it was Mrs Leishman, she put the fears into us wee 17 year old students.
~ justsitting

Ah - must have been down the park end of the street... out of our line of sight...
~ Joe

Eeeeek, reminds me of a time at my friends, her two where 3 & 2 years old. The neighbour came to the door and calmly told Heather that her daughter was hanging the 2 year old out of the bedroom window....they where fearless kids
Great view she has from her vantage point

And I was just round the corner in Leven Terrace no 12 from '80-'83 - great area esp if like me you were old enough to drink in Bennets!
~ Barrioboy

aaaaaaaaye right! haha
~ audrey
I was drinking in Bennets around about then.
~ MAiT

Aye, Bennetts, even Bentleys, and the Brougham Place chippy for tea. That was on the days it wasn't Frae Bentoes for tea. Ah, Student life
~ justsitting

Great shot. I'm trying to imagine. Was gravity involved?
~ mooncoin

Naturally, mooncoin. And often drunk students too.
~ Joe

BELLA! ................. put that water balloon down.
NO ............... I did not mean by throwing it ono the street
~ kaybee
A fantastic shot. I can only imagine you are farther out of the window than Bella to take this.
I remember, in 1986, passing under that very window and ................I fib of course.
~ TinS

That's one precariously-balanced camera, or an even more precariously-balanced Joe Bloggs!

Hmmmm...either with a very large set of step ladders or quite possibly?...on the 15th bounce upwards from a very tight trampoline :/ Great Feel to this picture and a lovely image, I'd try it from our upstairs window, but I'd only get next doors satellite dish!...
~ modsouljunkie
Now I'm very interested in hearing those stories..
~ superrstine

Not far from the International Bar. Haven't been drinking round there for a long time.
~ hiraeth

I don't know, she looks like she's thinking up something very dangerous. :o)
~ laneyscott
Did you ever manage to get a dropped fruit or vegetable to successfully stick (but not shatter into a million pieces) on the railings beneath?
~ wingpig

I'm scared of heights. Giving me vertigo in my toes
~ catherinelacey
Blimey, I used to live round the corner at 12 Leven Terrace too, '91 - '94. Same pubs.
