The sleep over with grandaughter Lucy was a success especially since her uncle from Cairo engaged her in photography and the making of video clips for his You Tube collection.
In fact, so successful was the whole evening that they both went to bed after me although they didn't surface this morning until many hours after the sun had risen.

Later in the morning, his Lordship and I drove down the coast to get some food from the Gosford Farm Bothy. But first thing first and we thought to have some lunch in the cafe there, but unusually It was bursting at the seams indoors with families and small children, so we elected to sit outside in relative peace and found ourselves sheltered from the strong west wind by the surrounding tall trees.

The little bird in the blip was most persistent in hopping within inches of my crumbs even though it already had its mouth full of something with wings. It didn't seem in the least worried when I got my camera out, that usually being a signal for Sod's law to come into effect and for the quarry to fly off faster than I can put my eye to the view finder.

After the food buying we were strolling a along a path to find a rusty blip such is my fondness for that sort of things, when we met MrB , Katherine and Connor out to see the wild boar. SooB was at home packing and maybe slurping, who knows but at least she had no excuse not to get on with things.
Mr B kindly offered to show us the way to the beasts, but his Lordship was too anxious to get back to read the papers

The very strong west wind was making the most amazing white horses on the sea.
Neither of us had ever seen such an expanse of them before. The tide was high and the whole of the Forth seemed to be a moving sweep of white crests.
Any cyclists unlucky enough to be going west into the wind were having a hard time of it, although going east, they probably didn't need to touch the pedals

We stopped to take some photographs , but in the end the cheeky little bird with the insect in his mouth got the vote for today's blip.
