Ilosaarirock, day two

Saturday was the first day of the actual festival. We went there early, around noon, because there were some bands that we wanted to see. I saw the following:

Viikate: First act of main stage is not an easy spot to perform, but Viikate performed quite well, especially beacuse of frontman Kaarle's gift of gab. Not the most memorable Viikate performance. We didn't see to whole gig, because we wanted good spots to see...

Mokoma, who played a great gig, which reminded me of their great performance on the same stage in 2004.

Pariisin Kevät: This was the first official performance of the pop act, so it was quite a special moment for many. I personally wasn't too familiar with their music, but the gig was good and the audience went bananas.

Katatonia: I didn't follow their gig quite as intensely as I had planned but they did sound good. This is the second time I saw the at Ilosaarirock and the gig seemed quite similar to the previous one, as far as I recall.

Tarot: I didn't really pay attention to this gig as I was just sitting on the grass in the bar area and didn't see them.

Ghost Brigade: I payed more attention to this performance to this gig than Tarot. However, we left the gig little early to see Bad Religion and meet my cousin and her friend in the main bar area.

Bad Religion: Another gig where I didn't pay quite as much attention to the gig as I had thought in advance, but in a good company it's worth it. I did get into a different spot briefly to get a glimpse and be able to say that I did actually see them live. They sounded really good, but that didn't come as a surprise.

After the festival day was over we ended up in a bar again - and it was the same bar as in Friday...

Most of my shots were quite rubbish, so the blip isn't too great, either. It's from the Mokoma performance, as you might have guessed.
