Arrived...in the Heat

Backblip (the first of many to cover ten days holiday):

After a quite pleasant and easy journey we arrived at our rented Apartment in the centre of the 'Little Quarter' in Prague. This is our view of the magnificent baroque Saint Nicholas Church from our kitchen window (the views from the other side of the apartment were just as good). The apartment was large, sapcious and extremely well positioned right in the centre of the quarter and only yards from many attractions (including the excellent U Glaubicu pub which the apartment was above). The only problems were that we had arrived in Prague in the middle of an extended heat wave (temperatures hit 37 oC whilst we were there and were up to 30 oC at night!) and the fact that to reach the apartment we had to climb 80+ steps up a narrow stone spiral staircase...quite a challenge in the heat!

After unpacking we retired to U Glaubicu for our dinner....washed down with ice cold draught Pilsner Urquell at less than a pound a pint.....bliss!
