Sunday 7 October 2007: Looking down, 1
Not in a million years did I think I'd get a shot like this today. I woke to a murky morning, with quite dense fog engulfing the neighbourhood. It took a long time to clear, and even when it did it was still overcast.
I have a couple of clients to keep happy, one of whom I've promised will have a proof waiting in his inbox when he gets in to the office tomorrow morning. It's after 8.00 pm as I write this, and I still haven't done anything productive. I blame it all on Friday night and the continuing after-effects of a long day's socialising which began with the Tigraki encounter, but that's really only an excuse. Basically, I still haven't got my head back into work mode since coming back from Croatia, and I'm falling back into my old ways of putting things off. I'll be good, I will. As soon as I post this I'll grab a quick cup of coffee and then it's time to knuckle down.
Prevarication has also spread to shopping for grocery essentials (returning to my bad old bachelor fridge ways), so I was forced to drag myself out of the house to get in the makings of something to eat. Rather than shop locally I decided for some reason to go in to town and parked in a car park off Grafton Street. The sun had broken through the clouds for a brief moment when I got back to the car, so I whipped out the camera and got this shot of a rather cramped lightwell which is beside the car park building.

Unusual perspective - feels a bit voyeuristic, somehow!

Great shot with an interesting perspective.

nice blip , timeless as it has no satellite dishes etc in it.

I think you have the "Hobbit" philosophy on life.
And why not?

Love all your prevarication...I'm good at that too :)))

The sun really makes a big differnces. We see it too infrequently. I like the look-down perspective here. Now I have to go see about the tigraki affair. But first I must thank you for your recent kind comments, you are a gentleman, sir!
~ Chaos

Great. I agree with Flick it is very dizzy making.
~ Barking

Ooo this gives me vertigo! Lovely colours and hope you bought something healthy!
~ seaurchin

It makes me feel dizzy looking down there. Good blip.

I went really dizzy from this! Great shot!
~ MissRAble

Apologies to everyone who suffered dizziness due to this. Strange thing is, I'm not usually a great one for heights, and especially not for looking down from a height as this entailed. But it was all in aid of Blip, so fears had to be forgotten ;-)
And, if you think this is dizziness-enducing, you should see the original before I straightened and cropped it!
~ dublinshooter

nice view, apology accepted, I was just going to say the same thing as well (dizzy :-). I am also suffering from post-holiday shock (it is now Thursday as I write this, catching up) :-)
~ tigraki
Cool angle.
