ssshh! Illegal piping pics

This is the Word Piping Championships which was held at Glasgow Green. Over 8,000 pipers, drummers and highland dancers for 16 countries represented alnong with over 55,000 visitors.

Working in one of the box offices I felt I greeted every single visitor over my 10 hour shift.

It was colourful, loud and the rain stayed away. At times esp when they were tuning up it was a real cocophany of sound but I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

Personally as much as a lone piper sends a shiver down my spine I do like my Scottish music a bit more chilled and sometimes with a wee twist.

Oh and this pic is illegal by mistake. Didn't know you weren't allowed to take pics until after my lunch and this had been taken. Oops!
