spring snow

Woke up this am to an earthquake, then to this fresh spring snow on the hills.
We are 450kms from Christchurch and yet we still felt it!

Tonight our hearts go out to all those displaced from the earthquake in Christchurch, a sad day for property and personal items, but we can thank our lucky stars it happened in the early morning when the shops and historic buildings were empty sparing many lives.
