i thought the most exciting part of my day was going to be the fact that i bought a pillow, but it also turned out to be a day of perfect timing. i was headed south on the train, and after the highland park stop, the train came to a complete halt and the operator said that due to police activity, all other southbound trains would be turning back to pasadena, but we would get to go through. and the police presence along the avenues was epic - i counted at least 20 cruisers. still trying to find out what was going on. in the era of twitter and LANow, i am getting impatient waiting 60 minutes for an update!

odd that just a couple hours earlier, i had walked past a film shoot (sons of anarchy) and had lunch a block or two away. the 90042 was bumpin' today!

p.s. the pillow is pretty nice, too.
