coquina rock

Again another North Carolina Costal fact: this is called Coquina Rock and was formed during the Pleistocene Ice Age, approximately from 1.8 million years ago, until approximately 11,550 years ago. The end of the Pleistocene Era corresponds with the retreat of the last continental glacier, the sea level dropped, leaving the bar exposed to the air and weather. Rainwater dissolved the calcium carbonate from the shell and cemented the loose, shelly sediment into rock. I'm glad America was left exposed.

does this mean what I saw today is at least 11,550 years old?
Life is a wave, which in no two consecutive moments of its existence is composed of the same particles.
