Looks Good To Me

Thank You, Canada

When Canada has too much cold air, which happens quite often, she sends the surplus down the Fraser Valley into Washington state. Our weather forecasters usually hear about it early enough to give us plenty of warning, as they did on Thursday, with a prediction of snow. So we weren't surprised to have snow last night, but the rate of accumulation was a bit of a shock. When I took Miss Annie outside before we sat down to watch a video, I saw sporadic small flakes mixed with rain. By the time the video ended several inches of snow had fallen.

To help ward off the dreaded cabin fever, we thought it would be a good idea to go to the Farmers' Market this afternoon. When we got downtown the roads were still slushy and it was already starting to freeze. There was a chill wind blowing, and we decided that we really didn't need to get out of the car before heading back home.

Monday's forecast is for more snow and colder temperatures. Brrrr! I hope the builders can make it up the hill to our house on Tuesday to continue working on the basement project.
