Ice cold in Clifton

A very cold day today which meant freezing feet for the boys and a challenge to son #1 who still maintains his no coat whatever the weather stance.

This is the walk leading to the site of St Andrews Church which was bombed in the war and subsequently demolished. It's a fascinating churchyard with the graves of soldiers from regiments like the Madras Cavalry, which probably suffered under previous defence cuts, not to mention the end of Empire.

This is a much photographed spot which really does look better in spring with a bit of growth.

This is a slippers on, tea drinking day whatever tougher people might tell me. There is a time to go out and brave the weather but I haven't worked my way into winter yet!
