Lowlands of Lincs

Folk Fest is over. Great fun, partly because it's new, and most people (organisers, performers and fans) didn't know what to expect.

Although some of the acts were not Folk by any stretch of the imagination, most were well received and a good time was had by just about everyone. The cost was pretty cheap, compared to other festivals, we didn't sleep in a tent and we had a shower - luxury!

On the way home, we took a cross country route to avoid the jams at Boston, passing snow covered fields, crossing frozen canals and being able to see forever.

Parts of it reminded M. of Holland, where she comes from so I thought a picture of her and the Flatlands was apt.

We are cozy at home now, with freezing fog outside. Staying in tonight!
