Breakfast spoon

I've been learning how to use some triptych frames that I downloaded from Photoradar today. I think you need to be reasonably confident with using Photoshop or Elements (or an alternative editing programme that uses layers) before attempting the exercise set out on the Photoradar page.

It was also a good opportunity to do some more indoor photography as the day has been very wet and grey (just a glimmer of sun around 2pm). So I've been experimenting with using a lightbox (a discarded X-Ray box), the natural light through the bathroom window (following my success with the orchid yesterday) and the light from the conservatory.

Using`breakfast' as a theme, this weeks 2011 Challenge, I took a series of three different images, a bowl of cereal, a kilner jar of dried cereal and a breakfast spoon and then assembled them into the `Breakfast Triptych' which I've uploaded to Blipfolio. It doesn't contain any EXIF data in the background layer and also has frames round it so would probably have been rejected by the moderator.

It's been another learning day, both in terms of the photographing of artefacts and also in extending my use of PE. I'm not sure that I've got the best images possible in the triptych but there's always another day!
