Pure Happiness

Fiona and I spent an hour or so walking and watching the sunset from Selsey common. I was charging around getting into position for various photographs as the light changed moment to moment. Fiona watched the view from a more static position and said it was very cold - I hadn't noticed.

Just as we were starting to leave, with the whole sky lit by the light of the already set sun, we passed a family having a playful time. The kids were running up the hummocks and doing rolling back down. I took a few shots of them scampering around and then the parents appeared on the hill top and the children ran up to join them, resulting for a brief second in this family ensemble. It looked like a moment of pure happiness.

In case anyone is interested in the lower right hand corner you can see river Severn and the Welsh hills beyond. A beautiful location and a beautiful moment.
