Don't Cry for Me Milkweed

Well, they were right again! The freezing rain and sleet started late last night and continued through this morning. I think I would rather get snow than freezing rain any day. But I'm sure the inhabitants of New England would disagree with that.

R stayed home and worked here today ~ even he did not want to drive in it and that's saying a lot. So while he was out helping our neighbor shovel his driveway, I went out to take some photographs. Even though this doesn't really show exactly how much ice we got, it was our favorite. Each of these milkweed seed pods has it's own icicle.

TEACHER: Donald, what is the chemical formula for water?
DONALD: H I J K L M N O.
TEACHER: What are you talking about?
DONALD: Yesterday you said it's H to O.
