That's not a puddle...

THIS is a puddle.

If there's one thing we can do well in Scotland, it's these things. Lots of them around just now, filling up all the pot holes in the roads and the like.

The big house in the background was built for one of the local Paton mill owners but is used now as business offices and a big show-offy conference centre (there's another huge mansion less than a mile along the road that does the same I think; we're minted in Clacks it would seem).

I did try to catch a close-up of the Buzzard that was flying around the grounds here - look close, you can just about see it flying around, but every time I got close it flew off to another tree. This is as close to a wildlife shot I got today, other than the one of Euan complaining loudly of starvation as I paddled about here because he hadn't had his lunch.

Thanks to everyone who popped by yesterday, the views on that went through the roof and it was a bit of a weird day fielding phone calls from the BBC, the Press Association and the Daily Mail. I've taken no amount of stick on it the past 24 hours and it's been fun seeing the image appearing in various places too, though a polite request to attribute the image correctly after it appeared on another users blog seems to have been ignored. One commentator told me to 'have a chill pill' over this but I'm not going to bite. I'll wait and see if the actual author does get back to me or changes the page. (He's changed the page now. And, I'm weak, I did bite). Feel free to pop along and point out the error of his intellectual property stealing ways if you like - his blog post is over on this page.
