Abandoned buildings 12: The view from within

Much giddiness in school this morning - wet playtime, nearly half term and smallest girl's birthday. But now I'm on holiday - yay :)

Today the rain was soft and we decided to risk another walk. Not such a long one this time, but we headed west, through the mist and drizzle. And it was fantastic. We passed fields full of daffodils (Kilcrohane used to rival the Scillies for the earliest daffs), fields full of newborn lambs (mainly black ones),  passed two standing stones, through a semi derelict hamlet, over a raging ford and then onto a shingle beach. The highlight was another abandoned building - himself had spotted it a week earlier and I was itching to have a look. It did not disappoint and many more blips will be coming from here! This old farm still has its roof and look, I got inside!! Inside was fascinating - cupboards till containing dirt encrusted plates and old teapots, old fire places, mantelpiece with religious statuary, what was once a very handsome but now decaying table - a treasure trove, and it had a very nice feeling to it. Very satisfactory.

Tonight's arthouse is Beautiful Kate - an Australian film containing strong language, strong sex and incest - crikey! Will report back.

Edit: you can see son number 1's blip too
