It is Friday

We were at “Patsy Dan’s” tonight at Dunfanaghy and the place was buzzing with people and an instrumental gathering. We eventually got a seat quite near to share in the craik but even more so to catch the lovely moment when this elegant lady was so focussed on her instrument. And with beautiful dramatic hair like that- total inspiration. I did a quick drawing but then looked up only to see her packing up to leave. She loved the drawing and kindly agreed to sit down again and afterwards she was was so taken with the final watercolour. And all to the sound of many instruments and voices doing great justice to good old Irish songs. A brilliant last night.
