Wednesday 10 March 2010: The pants delimna
It is a rare occasion when I csn walk into a store and buy a pair of jeans or pants off the rack. I'm 6'0" tall and prefer a 34 to 36 inseam. I have found that some stores carry "tall" sizes but for some reason they are still too short (Express i'm looking at you).
Gap is pretty reliable but their xtra-talls are only available online. Today, this pair came in the mail and I was totally astounded when I tried them on and had about 3.5 inches of extra fabric bunched up around my feet. I haven't measured but estimate them as 38 to 40 inches in the inseam. For a moment I reveled in the extra length - this is what it must feel like to be short, I thought to myself!
So, what to do, what to do. I sort of want to keep them even though they are clearly too long just because of the fact that this has NEVER happened to me before. Silly, huh?
Most of the time I like being a tall girl but when it comes to shoes and jeans, I sometime wish I was shorter. Ah well, grass is greener and all that ...
Ran 2 miles today!

I"ve often wondered myself... why can't jeans be consistant. I have not come up with the answer, yet. I just get out my trusty sewing machine and scissors and hem away! I say keep them. Then you can walk a mile in a short persons jeans!

I always have such issue with jeans! I'm really rather short, 5'1", but my legs are long. So shorts are too short and standards are too long. Grr.
Thank you for the subscription!

If it's any help -- I rarely find a pair that fits me correctly and I'm only 5'5'' and 3/4ths. I'm not much of a fan of clothes shopping. I'd much rather window shop and dream; I don't like trying on clothes. 2 miles -- wow! Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka
