Flower Friday - Gardening

Having decided not to go and do any sorting and packing at the flat this weekend, I thought I’d take advantage of a rare dry day by tidying the garden a bit at the bungalow. Because of the vast amount of rain we’ve had so far this spring, and having had no opportunity to do any gardening at all this year, a lot of pretty chunky weeds have taken hold all over the place. The front garden in particular has got into a right state, and I’m so ashamed of it. Anyway, I managed to pull out all the stuff that had sprung up through the slabs that make a little path around the side of the house, and to cut back a hawthorn that had exploded through the dead bit of hedge. A lot of the hedge will be coming out anyway later this year, but at least it looks a little tidier now.

My back is complaining, so I’m going to be a sofa loafer for the evening. There’s some rain forecast here tomorrow - I’m planning on clearing a lot of things from the garage to make space for the things that are in the garage at the flat. It feels like I’m doing one of those puzzles where you have to slide all the squares around to re-order them in groups of the same colour. I never was any good at solving those…

Thank you to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday. My gardener is due to cut the grass soon, so these daisies’ days are numbered.
