"A souped-up daddy long-legs"

Now here's a spectacular insect that appeared in the garden today, which I think may be a Cone-horn Cranefly (Ctenophora pectinicornis) but I need to send a record off to confirm that as I've never seen one before.  It's about 4 cm long and reported to be scary-looking but harmless.
