In the meadow

In what seems something of a crazy back and forth along North Wales, we head off home this afternoon as G has a rehearsal in Bangor this evening. We stop off in Burton Mere, always a treat, and today it’s cuteness that takes my fancy.

There’s a family of Canada goslings pottering around not far from the cafe - not particularly photogenic on the fence-side path. We see them later, scuttling under a gate into a meadow, watched by parents who stand guard just in case we dare to follow after them. They almost disappear into the long grass, little fuzzy heads appearing as they stretch to graze on higher blades - always the most tasty it would seem.

My main’s a single gosling, with a triptych of others in extras.
