I live in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, half way between Sydney and Canberra. I spent my first thirty years in England, and I count myself very lucky to have two countries I call mine.

I’m a former librarian, academic, teacher, senior public servant and management consultant, now retired. Among the things that make me happy are travel (especially Europe and the Australian outback), wild places, history, following current politics and social issues, researching family history, reading novels and binge watching television dramas.

I have never seen myself as a photographer, and I’m happy clicking away with my iPhone. I love photography as a medium and I joined Blipfoto to follow someone else’s photos. However I quickly became hooked. I love the way blipping makes you see the world differently, and the way photos and words can combine to tell a story.
