November 2020

I retired in September 2020 from being a busy IT Specialist when photography provided some much needed excuse for some "downtime". Photography continues to play an important part in my life, and I rarely move far from the house without a camera to hand, either Canon DSLR or, more recently, one of the Olympus micro four thirds one.  IPhones and iPads don't do too bad a job either.

I have been a member of Blipfoto since March 2012, although (by deliberate choice) don't post every day.  Even so I have managed to clock up 5 1/2 years worth of photos and received a new blue camera for 2000 posts!

I am fortunate to live on the Surrey/Hampshire borders in the UK, which provides ample photo opportunities with numerous historic houses, gardens, nature reserves and countryside within easy reach.   Other hobbies, including music and doll's house modelling, also provide easy subjects.

I have the curiousity of a cat, so love discovering new techniques achievable both in camera or via Photoshop. The results of these too can be found in my journal.
