When I started on Blip my intention was to record and share some of my experiences in the year leading up to a significant birthday. Having been hooked, and much to my surprise, I've continued for much longer.

Much of my time is spent walking in and around Shrewsbury with our Cairn Terrier (Bruce aka The Brucester or BruceNO! depending on what he's doing) so many of my photos arise from these walks. This may also explain why some may be a little blurred as he tugs me away to continue his quest to wee on as many things as possible or to sniff extensively some of the most disgusting things known to man (or dog). I also try to make it more challenging by not wearing my reading glasses thus ensuring that I'm never completely sure what will be included in my photos.

I hope that you find some pleasure and/or enjoyment from my rather feeble efforts with my trusty compact camera and phone.

I have developed two main series within my journal:
Bruce's One Small Hairy Dog Series
One River Series

Also, for anyone interested, more of my photos on Flickr including One Small Hairy Dog.

Many thanks for dropping by.

Update at 3 years:
Having originally intended to be involved for a year, (along with Mrs E) I am gobsmacked that I've managed to continue for so long. This is due in no short measure to all of you amazing people who are happy to contribute photos, comments and experiences. I've certainly enjoyed joining together with so many wonderful people from across the World with whom I have shared photos and consequently learned so much more about photography.

However, I feel that I've reached the point where I feel that I really need to take a breather from Blipping each and every day. I've therefore decided to take a break although, at the moment, I'm not sure for how long or if I will ever return to uploading on a regular basis.

I like to thank each and every one for the comments, encouragement and enjoyment over the last three years and I wish you all the very best for the future. (Bruce has instructed me to add his best wishes and also to point out that this decision was taken without any meaningful discussions with him and that he thinks that I'm a dickhead.)
