I began my Journal in April 2009, initially for a year, to remember my dear sister in law, Hilary, who posted some images here just before she passed away. Gillipaw was the fun name she used to call me.

Little did I know what all this would lead to. So far, I have not missed a day. It has helped me keep in touch with family and friends, and has given me an interest which I really enjoy. I take a camera with me wherever I go, and notice much more in the world around me now.

I spent ten weeks studying the Open University T189 Digital Photography course in Autumn 2010 and have also taken short courses at StreetLevel in Glasgow and Stills in Edinburgh. Joined Queen's Park Camera Club in August 2012.
