After 35 years in multiple roles in high-tech (including software engineer and project manager), I recently entered what I like to call my "first retirement". I call it that because I don't feel quite done yet and hope to find inspiration for the next chapter of my working life. I am an odd bird in that I enjoy and understand technology, and I have a coaching certification (people systems).

In the meantime, I am recovering from burn-out by spending time outdoors (hiking, camping), sleeping late, reading trashy novels, and playing with paper and color. Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? I'm quite enjoying it!

Update 1/2/2019 - I'm back at work part time!
Update 3/29/2019 - I'm about to head out into my 2nd retirement... I feel much more energetic this time. I have been using my iPhone camera and two point and shoot canon cameras. One of them has a larger aperture range while the other has a much better telephoto. They are small enough so I could carry them both around without too much trouble if I wanted to. I don't want to spend the money on a fancier rig and lenses at this point.
