I am a retired primary school teacher with three adult sons but no grandchildren.  I live with my husband, Peter and two very spoilt Cavoodles in the Upper Blue Mountains, 100 kilometres west of Sydney.

My father, a professional photographer, gave me a Box Brownie for my 4th birthday.  Sadly, I was not interested in following my father’s footsteps but he did leave me with one vital tip - fill the frame.  I have always owned a camera and documented every family event  using automatic mode.  It was not until 18 months ago when I purchased my first DSLR that I began to take photography seriously and it has become my passion.  I have studied on line, attended courses and joined the local camera club. I am very grateful for all the help and guidance that has been provided.

I do not intend to use Blip as a journal but as motivation to use my camera daily.  The more I click the more I learn.  I also learn from viewing amazing work from fellow Blippers.  Thank you.
