I've been in a funk lately. Too obsessed with regrets over choices in my past and blind to the opportunities in my future. All while feeling that life is passing me by, leaving me older each day.

My hope is that blipping will help me take notice and appreciate my amazing life. Maybe I'll find a scent, get some ideas, or perhaps a grand "ah-ha" about my future. Or maybe I'll just wind up opening my eyes. Spotting beautiful things that it just took a little looking to see.

Either way, I'll be the one doing it. With my camera. Making a record for myself. Delightfully selfish.

Just after taking my first photo this morning, I was in an art store asking for some creative recommendations on a furniture repair. After giving me ideas and his favored option, the salesclerk advised me to "test it on the bottom first, just lightly, look to see before adding a second layer, and if all goes well, flip it over and... then leap."
